What exactly is a PawForever portrait?

A PawForever portrait is an AI-generated artwork of your pet, hand-tuned across ten styles spanning Modern, Renaissance, Watercolor, Pop Art, Astronaut, Memorial and more. We turn one phone photo into a high-resolution preview in about 10 seconds — and if you love it, we print it on museum-grade paper or stretched canvas and ship it to your door.

How long does the whole process take?

Generating your preview takes about 10 seconds. Once you approve and check out, production takes 2–7 business days, plus 3–8 business days shipping. Most orders arrive within 1–2 weeks.

Do I own the rights to my portrait?

You retain all ownership of the photo you uploaded. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the generated portrait for personal, non-commercial purposes — display in your home, share on personal social media. Commercial resale or merchandising requires written consent. See our Terms of Service for the full text.

Is this really AI?

Yes. We use a fine-tuned image model to generate the portrait directly from your photo. We disclose this honestly — and importantly, the preview you approve is the exact 1K image we upscale and print. We never re-roll between checkout and production.

Question 5

Will the portrait actually look like my pet?

Accepted Answer

That is the goal. The model preserves face shape, fur color and pattern, ear shape, and eye color. Because every output is an artistic interpretation, exotic markings or unusual angles can be softened — that is exactly why you get a free preview before you pay.

Can I request a custom style not in the menu?

Right now we only ship our curated styles — each is hand-tuned across hundreds of test variants so pets look like themselves, not generic clip-art. If you have a style request, email team.pawforever@gmail.com and we will add the popular ones to a future drop.

Question 7

What if I do not like the preview?

Do not check out. Try a different photo or pick a different style — previews are free and you can regenerate as often as you want. We never charge until you have approved a preview you love.

Can I include more than one pet?

Each portrait currently features one pet. For two-pet portraits, email team.pawforever@gmail.com before ordering — we handle these manually.

Where do you ship?

We ship worldwide. Each order is routed to whichever Printful fulfillment center (US or EU) is closest to you. Shipping cost and ETA are calculated at checkout.

How long does shipping take?

After 2–7 business days of production: US 3–5, Canada 5–10, EU/UK 3–6, Australia/NZ/Asia 7–14, rest of world 10–20 business days. Most orders arrive in 1–2 weeks total.

Where is it printed?

Accepted Answer

By Printful, our print-on-demand partner, with fulfillment centers in the US and EU. Each order is automatically routed to the closest one.

Question 12

What about customs and duties?

For international orders, the recipient is responsible for any customs fees, duties, or VAT charged by their country. We cannot mark packages as gifts to reduce duties — that is against carrier policy.

What payment methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

All major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay through Shopify’s secure checkout. We never see or store your card details.

Can I get a refund?

Because each portrait is custom-printed for you alone after you approve the preview, we do not accept buyer’s-remorse returns. We do replace or refund any item that arrives damaged, defective, or wrong — email team.pawforever@gmail.com within 30 days of delivery with photos. See our Refund Policy for details.

Can I cancel my order?

Free of charge before you click "approve and check out". Once production starts (typically within minutes of checkout), the order cannot be canceled because the printer has already begun work on a one-of-a-kind piece.

I entered the wrong address — what now?

Accepted Answer

Email us within 30 minutes of checkout. After that the package is in production or in the carrier’s hands and we cannot reroute. If the package is returned to sender, we will re-ship at your cost.

What kind of photo works best?

Accepted Answer

A clear, front-facing close-up of your pet’s face in good natural light. Avoid heavy filters, blurry shots, costumes that hide the face, or photos taken in the dark.

Will my iPhone HEIC photo work?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We auto-convert HEIC to JPEG and rotate based on EXIF orientation in your browser before anything is uploaded — you do not need to convert it yourself.

Which pets do you support?

Accepted Answer

Cats, dogs, horses, rabbits, birds, guinea pigs, hamsters, and ferrets. We do not currently generate portraits of reptiles or fish.

What resolution is the final print file?

Accepted Answer

After approval we upscale your 1K preview to 4K using a dedicated upscaler before sending the file to the printer — sharp enough for prints up to 24×36″.

Question 21

Do you keep my pet’s photo? Do you train AI on it?

Accepted Answer

Not unless you buy. Your photo is processed in-memory to generate the preview and is never written to our servers during preview. Only after a successful purchase do we keep a copy of the original to ensure print quality — and everything we store is deleted 90 days after delivery. We never use customer photos to train AI models.
